Ability to independently resolve problems Ability to set priorities and manage heavy workload Ability to develop and maintain accurate and comprehensive records and files Ability to understand and interpret general university policy and procedure manuals Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, including Word and Excel Preferred Qualifications Bachelors' degree with additional consideration to applicants who possess a Masters degree Prior work experience in collegiate or professional athletics Prior work experience in travel operations Job Description Texas State University is seeking applications for the position of Travel Operations Coordinator for the Texas State Athletic Department, under the direction of the Executive Senior Associate Athletic Director for Business Operations.
This position is full time and benefits eligible, with the potential for the Department to provide housing support.
Job Duties The Travel Operations Coordinator performs essential tasks working closely with all athletic teams and support staff to organize, arrange, and reconcile team and individual travel.
Responsibilities include:
making reservations and processing individual travel paperwork for assigned athletics staff; assist with team travel airfare and ground transportation; serve as a liaison for the athletics department and its employees with university travel office staff and outside companies for both individual and team travel; process purchase orders and invoices; reconcile payments to university financial system; maintain positive relationship with vendors and university accounting, purchasing and travel office staffs; understand and implement department policies and procedures; other duties as assigned.
