$118K - $150K a year Overview The Control Panel Engineering Manager is responsible for guiding, overseeing, and motivating a team, as well as managing resources and activities to ensure the effective planning, scheduling, and tracking of all projects and tasks following established methods and procedures.
This role involves coordinating and directing both project and departmental activities, developing detailed plans to achieve objectives, and overseeing the seamless integration of technical tasks.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities include:
Collaboration:
Collaborate with management, production, and marketing staff to discuss project specifications and procedures.
Collaborate with internal and external clients to prepare project specifications; present and explain proposals, reports, and findings to internal and external clients.
Execution:
Coordinate and direct projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities.
Lead efforts to develop new process technology to support manufacturing of existing products and implementing new product designs into production.
Monitor backlog and ensure production and planning activities are tended to on a timely basis.
Analyze technology, resource needs, and market demand, to plan and assess the feasibility of projects.
Develop and implement policies, standards, and procedures for the engineering and technical work performed in the department.
Perform administrative functions such as reviewing and writing reports, approving expenditures, enforcing rules, and making decisions about the purchase of materials or services.
In coordination with the Lead Designers, identify risks to the projects in terms of engineering staffing and evaluate mitigation options.
Leadership:
Recruit employees; assign, direct, and evaluate their work; and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence; conduct staff performance reviews and mentor staff in their chosen career path.
Manage personnel, perform annual reviews for employees, and follow company guidelines for personnel management.
Qualifications 5
years of experience in electrical design or with Thermon products.
4
years of experience leading electrical designers, engineers and/or drafters Project Management experience is preferred.
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering preferred.
Bachelor's degree in a Technical field considered with industry experience.
