The Production Control Leader is member of the CFAN Staff, reports directly to the President of the company.
The PC Leader is responsible for providing leadership to the Production Control team, which includes functions such as Master Scheduling, Supply Chain & inventory management, customer support & Stockroom teams.
This is a critical end-to-end leadership role that is the main focal with our customers, sets the production rhythm of the company, works with vendors to procure material and services on time, manages our inventory strategy, and leads cross-functionally to fulfill our customers' orders as well as other contractual needs.
The PC team is responsible for customer interface, RFQ and contract review process, supply & demand planning, development/execution of the Master Production Schedule (MPS), release of purchase orders in support of the MPS, expediting/prioritizing purchase orders and job orders, control of customer supplied material/equipment/tooling, issuing job orders, closing job orders, and monthly reconciliation of WIP inventory.
The PC Leader is ultimately responsible for the Stockroom team to insure all materials are accurately received, stored, and picked in accordance to all applicable Operating Procedures and Work Instructions.
Essential Functions:
Lead teams through changing times through servant leadership Growth and develop team members maximize their potential Plan and manage production schedules to ensure 100% on-time delivery of all customer orders while working to reduce inventory and cycle time.
Identify and execute on inventory reduction initiatives without impacting production schedules Manage departmental budget including transportation (in bound & out bound) Responsible for the analysis of purchase orders with respect to capacity planning and material requirements.
Forecast production schedules up to 5 years Maintain good relations with customers and address their issues diligently.
Proactively identifies any bottlenecks or potential delays in production and collaborates with the manufacturing teams to ensure necessary labor, materials, and other resources are available to meet customer and business needs Use production planning and scheduling to mitigate materials shortages.
Negotiate priorities with customers.
Drive Request For Quotation for business development with current or new customers Partner with our suppliers and outside vendors to ensure connectivity throughout changing business environments Responsible for inventory accuracy and product shelf life through cycle-counting Collaborate with manufacturing, purchasing, and quality personnel, etc.

Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field or 10 years of leadership experience in Production Control required.
10 years leadership experience in a manufacturing/supply chain environment.
5 years of experience with purchasing, expediting, MRP/ ERP systems, quality/continuous improvement initiatives, manufacturing safety practices and MS Office applications.
Solid analytical skills 5
years of experience in Lean manufacturing 2 to 3 years of Vendor Management 2 to 3 years of Customer support Excellent communication skills (oral and written) Ability to work cross functionally Leadership ability to develop others Self-motivated Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment Ability to formalize and solve practical problems and deal with a variety of changing situations.
