Full Time The cook prepares and cooks meals for assisted living community and maintains standards of kitchen cleanliness.
Key responsibilities include:
Preparing all food according to the menu in a safe and sanitary manner Ensuring proper preparation, portioning, and serving of food Preparing quality food products according to standardized recipes and menus Preparing food in a timely manner at specified meal times Responding to community issues or concerns that may occur in the dining room Following proper cleaning procedures and storage of all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment Ensuring all food in refrigerator, freezer, and dry storage is labeled and dated Overseeing proper food handling and utilization of all foods to prevent contamination, increase quality, and reduce cost Cleaning all food service equipment We seek the following
Qualifications:
Must be able to professionally represent Brookdale Must have a high school diploma or GED Two (2) years of commercial cooking experience Must communication and customer service skills Must be able to work independently as well as work as part of team Must enjoy working with the senior population Brookdale is an EOE-(Equal Opportunity Employer) and drug free work place.
