Job Description
The Quality/Safety Manager promotes, develops, and oversees compliance of the company quality system. Effectively assuring compliance of customer requirements by managing quality policies, standards, procedures, programs and practices while driving and facilitating continuous improvement. Manage health and safety policies and identify hazards and risks for improving onditions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategically plan to achieve quality objectives from Policy Deployment
Responsible for setting, directing and measuring weekly, quarterly and annual quality goals that support policy deployment
Direct and supervise Quality Assurance personnel, functions and activities
Champion the ISO9001:2000 program to ensure compliance and maintenance of ISO certification.
Discuss questionable dimensional and geometric tolerances with Design Engineers
Interface with all departments to discuss quality related issues
Coordinate train and assist in internal and supplier quality audits and inspections of operational and supplier programs and processes
Plan and develop methods, procedures and schedules to conduct a continuously improving quality process
Provide positive leadership to maintain high morale as demonstrated by teamwork skills
Take a leading role in the further establishment of creating an environment where there is a Total Quality attitude and behavior
Evaluate practices, procedures and facilities to assess risk for safety
Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new safety prevention measures
Monitor safety compliance to policies and laws by inspecting employees and operations
Investigate accidents or incidents by attending all re-enactments to discover causes
Job Requirements
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent plus 3-5 years' experience in quality and manufacturing required
Certified through QMS Lead Auditor preferred
Must be knowledgeable in ISO9001:2000
Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
Must possess a familiarity with lean manufacturing principles
Black belt preferred, strong root cause analysis required
Skills:
Reasoning Ability Must exhibit common sense ability to carry out functions in written, oral, or diagram form and ability to deal with problems involving abstract and concrete variables. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Must be able to handle multiple tasks at one time.
Mathematical Skills Ability to read blueprints and gauges. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Must pass a mechanical aptitude test.
Language Skills The ability to read and interpret documents such as drawings, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, technical and procedure manuals and government regulations. Ability to write routine reports, operating instructions, procedure manuals, and business correspondences. Able to communicate well with other employees.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
